Australia Day is looming, only 6 days to go.

I need to confess that I am an Australian, albeit an older one... lol.

During the Christmas and New Year period i was shocked by the behaviour of many young Aussies in Samui.

I had always believed that the rough and ready Aussie tourist belief was totally exaggerated. WOW!!!.. was i wrong!!

Both of the sexes behaved in the most vulgar, rude and drunken ways i have ever seen.

They treated Thailand, it's people and anyone in sight in ways that made me ashamed of my birthplace.

I hope that what i witnessed was a once only and that this Wednesday order in my mind and the world will be restored.

Thank you for the insight. But these sort of discussions, degenerate rather quickly & turn into Nationality / race bashing.

This is clearly against forum rules:

7) Not to post slurs or degrading comments directed towards any group on the basis of race, nationality, religion, gender or sexual orientation.
