Anyone know of a place to buy outdoor watches ? I'm after a Suunto watch (not dive watch model) and just heading over to central & paragon now.

Since you are going to be in the area.. you can try in Amarin Plaza, very close to Central World, when you go out of CW go to the Sky Walk (under the Skytrain tracks) and walk in the opposite direction to Siam Paragon; Amarin Plaza is two or three hundred meters down the road. At the back of the place, first or second floor, there's a fairly large outdoors shop. They may have what you are looking for.

Tried Amarin, no luck there. No luck in Siam Paragon or Central world either. One of the shops listed on the suunto website above no longer exists (equinox on 3rd floor of paragon).

Where to buy? Outside Thailand, stuff like this usually runs at the least +30%/40% premium here. Oakley sunglasses are 70% more expensive in Thailand than the US and Europe for example.

Yup, will get it sent from UK. Even when hit up with tax it's probably still cheaper. Gave up on that distributor list from suunto also. The shops either don't exist and the three I phoned don't have any Suunto watches.

2 months ago a saw a suunto shop in MBK, the floor where the cinema is. right across from Sizzler restaurant.

Good luck hope they are still there. You have to walk a little past Sizzler to see them.

Suunto Shop. 7th floor BMK at top on one of the 2 escalators yesdown towards Sizzlers. Yes it was their Saturday 22nd Feb and open at about 8pm.
