Sos Can Anybody Help Or Point Me In The Right Direction?

My eight year old son was abducted 8 months ago here in Thailand and I have finally after calling to almost every police and tourist police station from Nong Khai to Surat found a police commissioner and police team willing to help me. The list of the people and organisations that I have appealed to is as extensive as the racism and corruption that I have encountered. I never knew that a ransom demand is not a crime unless money is handed over??? I have gone down almost every cul de sac in Thailand. Bank and phone records are proving difficult for the investigating police as the woman in question has been most careful. My problem is that I know all the details of the computer, air card and 12 Call sim card that the woman is using but the police don't seem to know how to locate the computer. I was thinking there must be some body connected to Thai Visa who could help or at least point me in the right direction. That is to somebody with the necessary know how? Any help it goes without saying would be most appreciated. PM's if possible would be best... Thank you.

If you have an email from the person then the header of the email will contain the IP address of the sender. The problem you have is if they are using an internet cafe to send and receive mail. The phone company could also provide the police with a location of the phone if pressed. It may be worth offering a reward of some sort to hasten things along a bit.The other option is to set up a meeting to hand over the money or whatever and have the police there as well. Good luck.

Asking for ransom via email is a crime in Thailand - make them enforce it. If it is the mother asking for support in xchange for your right to see the kid then get a lawyer - its not ransom - its just a domistic problem. You need to enforce some sort of visitation agreement. A Lawyer can get a sipena and force her to appear or wave her rights. Then you got a crime issue to work with.

OP, you're making this sound like an actual kidnapping (which is a serious crime), complete with ransom demands. But it sounds more like your wife/ex-wife took your child, which is an entirely different animal (i.e., a domestic dispute). Can you please clarify which it is? Otherwise, it's like massive hyperbole. I doubt any country would help a foreign father take a child from the mother who's a citizen of that country.

Good points. Don't get all the cowboys saddled up, just to find out you and the missus are having a go at each other.

OP, you have (seemingly) purposely left out (in both topics) the answer to the question "is the woman you accuse of kidnapping your son for ransom the boy's mother?"

Being misleading on this matter is in very poor taste, if you want any sympathy or help from people I suggest you clear up the details on this story, otherwise you should not be posting.

This might be the Italian in me talking but does it matter? If she is the mother it does not make her actions any less despicable.

If she is the mother it is not a clear case of kidnapping for ranson, as described by the OP who seems to have lead us to believe that some sort of criminal not related to the immediate family has abducted the boy and is holding him for ransom. Rather, despite the OP trying to avoid language that would point to the facts, it seems like a custody dispute between two parents, and whether or not the OP is married to the "kidnapper" "mother" or whatever she is would have immediate bearing on the case, because if they are not legally married then according to Thai law it is ABSOLUTELY NOT kidnapping in any shape form or fashion, she would not have broken any law and the OP's statements could be construed as slander/libel and the OP could be held accountable by Thai law for the accusations he has made.

Mods should take note.

With all due respect as with many postings on Thai Visa somebody appeals for help and instead of same being tendered a pointless unfounded insinuation riddled witch hunt ensues. I am accused of being misleading in my post etc etc. I am merely asking does anybody know how I can find somebody who can trace the location of an on line computer for me! For what it is worth the facts are the police, the Pavena Foundation and the Thai Child Welfare Authority are actively looking for the woman and my son so clearly a serious crime has been committed, they fear the child is in danger and the boys in brown are stumped with regards to locating the computer. So please I am not here to argue the toss but to ask for help!

You are asking for help but don't want to explain the details? It's like when someone asks to borrow money but they won't tell you what it is for.

Is the woman your legal wife?

Is the woman the childs maternal mother or legal guardian?

Why is the child in danger?

If you are asking for help then these seem to be legitimate questions.

Yep, come clean. You can quote all the agencies you like to further your quest here, so lets have the big picture and perhaps you might get help. :)
