The driver was Mr. Nareudom Sarikabootn aged 42, who was a Highway Rescue Volunteer, stated that he was about to turn right into Alcazar and was certain that he indicated enough before turning.

Sure. We all know that Thai's always use their indicator in good time before turning. Not.

As soon as he started turning, the motorcycle hit the right side of the truck.

So the Thai driver clipped him off.

Mr. Nareudom told police that in his opinion the motorcyclist was driving when drunk.

Sure. A good attack is always a good defense. What about himself. What was he doing at Alcazar at 1am in the morning?

I hear ya, but it could be this guy was doing what most bikes do here in Pattaya. Drive down the center lane trying to pass all the cars. An accident waiting to happen for sure. And at 1am, I would be guessing the bike driver had probably downed a few drinks... :(

To cut him off from the centerline doing a right turn the Thai driver will have had to cross over two lanes, even worse.

I was assuming they were both going in the same direction. To hit the truck's right side, they would have to be....right???? Otherwise, if coming from the other direction, the bike would have hit the left side. But then again, we know how these stories get reported...and translated....

Speedy recovery to the bike rider. One reason I don't ride scooters in Pattaya!
