Hi all,

Moving from Chiang Mai to Pattaya in March,I am looking for a shool for my daughter,9 years old.

I have seen different schools, such as Burapa, Marivit, Satit ,Aksorn, Wuttichot.

Anyone can tell about the reputation and the prices of these schools. Thanks in advance.

We moved in the other direction .My then 6 year old step daughter was at Ackorn South Pattaya ( they are in North Middle and South )for a half year term which was around B10,000 plus books ,uniform etc .A very good school with English lessons and swimming pool etc .

We are now living in Chiang Mai /San Sai .Still a good school but around half the price of Pattaya .

Both of my daughters (8 & 6 yo) go to Regents School. It is very expensive,

about 550K per year per kid. Farang teachers, internationally accredited. Both

of my kids now speak perfect (and correct) English and Thai, and both can

read and write in English and Thai (well, the 6 yo is a bit behind the 8 yo...).

I am very satisfied with the school, and the numerous extra activities they

offer. Again, it is very expensive ...

Cheers,

rudi

End of the day you get what you pay for.

The price you quote is similar to an international school here in Singapore, I have seen Regent school from the road and it really does look impressive.

A place for my young one to go to when she is old enough? Possibly.

I know I,m in the Pattaya forum but can anyone offer any feedback of St.Stevens school at Khao Yai?

FYI, I started off my girls at an very early age. They where both

4 years old when they started nursery (also at regents). They

where both very excited to go. Some small children had a hard

time in nursery.

Thanks for your comments.

I have had both my girls at international schools here in Singapore, my eldest is now in Korat though and not at school ( due to a disability ).

i prefer to home school!

Fair enough, but I have to go to work to support the family.

My eldest in Korat is receiving schooling at home, mainly due to the lack of decent (safe) special schools in the area.
