Fedex In Bangkok - Need Info

Featured Replies

If anyone can give me details about FedEx in Bangkok I'd greatly appreciate it. I live in Udon Thani and don't much at all about Bangkok (totally lost when there) and have never used FedEx before either.

Tomorrow I'll be checking out of Centre Point Wireless Road Hotel after a short night stay and need to find a location where I can get the FedEx envelope and pay for international shipping (to USA) that is closest to where I am.

Here's a link to their locations:

http://www.fedex.com/th/dropoff/

I don't have time to get to one of these locations and find that its just a drop box, or that I needed an account (I don't have one) or anything like that. I've never used FedEx before so if there is anything i need to know please fill me in.

If there is nothing I need to know special about FedEx and this works just like a post office in the US, then what I'd like to know is which location (of the ones opening at 10AM or earlier) is closest to where I'll be and what I'll need to tell a taxi driver to get me there.

responses greatly appreciated.

why dont u use international ems thru yr local post office. u get a tracking number same as fedex.

i have used ems heaps of time and they havnt failed yet.

just my suggestion

cheers mark

Get the concierge to handle all this for you. Call them etc They will come pick it up. You pay them cash. 1100 baht or so

Jim, Nana square (soi3) has a fedex office and on the groundfloor and to states about 800b mate. Andy

Thanks everyone for responses.

Tomorrow I have an 8:45AM notary appointment at the American embassy, and a domestic flight leaving Suvarnabhumi at 13:50.

At the embassy I just need a very simple parental consent form notarized; this is a standard government document related to passport for a minor.

I'm going to go to Embassy first, then come back get my belongs and check out of hotel.

The FedEx at Nana Square Soi 3 opens at 10:30

I'm guessing I should have plenty of time to get this done.

Does anyone disagree?

yes, get to your embassy early and get that done fast, be first in line mate ;) then the rest is a breeze. good luck

You can make your life even easier. You can call Fedex and schedule a pick up between certain times. tell them you also need an envelope and once they come, pack and do all the paperwork. This way you do not need to go to any office. The only down side is its never a precise time, more like after 9am, before 2pm or something like that.

Also ask them for "special" prices, they have special rates for certain sizes and packages

PS. i am not 100% but i think they have a branch in the airport also :)

Thanks. I was only in bangkok from 22:00 last night until a 13:50 flight home so this option wasn't ideal.

Trip Report: Everything went fine. I was in and out of embassy in about 10 minutes, It was a very positive experience. I had been expecting to pay $50 notary fee, but was surprised to learn the notary service is free for this particular form.

The FedEx office was a small a room with one person working and no line. It took just a few minutes to send. Cost was 851 baht and documents scheduled to arrive on Thursday.
