If you know the area you want to live, nothing beats walking the streets there and looking at the signs. Also ask every guard and attendent if they know of any places in the area available for rent ... they usually know what is going on in their domain. These signs will usually ahve much better deals than what you see in the paper.

Good luck.

I am looking for a 2 bedroom flat / apartment in the Sathorn area.  Anyone know of anything not too expencive?

Hi Mig,

It's always a good idea to be a bit more specific with a request for information. That way you’re likely get more replies. What's not too expensive to you could mean something completely different to another member.

I've viewed a 2 bedroom apartment around Sathorn last year and I considered it to be a bit of a dump for the asking price of 25,000 Baht per month. It was old, poorly maintained and stunk of mildew. There will be better and worse examples than this at a variety of price levels.

Good luck with your search.

Aitch.
