Found an interesting shaver for cutting the grooves. Doesn't seem to take too much effort to make one yourself.

Anybody that can give a brief translation about what the guy is saying?

I tried to contact the guy a few years ago about buying a few to try, but never had a reply. Don't know if the idea was a failure or he just didn't understand English. Jim

Ahh. That's a shame. Seemed like the right tool for the job especially when they showed all the bad cuttings done previously on those trees.
