Athletic Shoes

Featured Replies

Can you recommend a place to buy name brand athletic shoes (i.e. not fake) in Bangkok? I could always find name brand running shoes in the U.S. for around $50 (as long as they aren't new models), but everywhere I've looked in Bangkok so far is 2-3x that. Do stores ever have sales? Thanks for the tips!

My wife bought some shoes at Paragon a week or so ago that were last years "collection" that she said she got 50% ... at least that is what she told me ... as she does every time she buys stuff at Paragon. Some how I am supposed to feel like we made 50% instead of spending.

The least I paid for decent running shoes is 2500 baht. I find the cheaper ones simply fall apart and feel like running on cardboard.

One needs to check frequently for sales at say the two sport stores near Saladeang BTS or at any Adidas store. Of course there are others but it depends where you live.

If you don't take size 42, don't require support/stability shoes and live on/near Sukhumvit send me a PMlaugh.gif I can tell you where to go but it is still hit and miss.

Try Super Sports at Robinson, Central, or The Mall.

I go to the ECCO shoe factory in Bang Pahan in Ayutthaya. They have a small outlet beside the factory. You can pick good quality ECCO shoes for 1/3 the cost of the same model at Emporium or Paragon. The last time I was there I saw their new Gore Tex running shoes which was going for about 2500 to 3000 Bhat. If you know someone working at the factory, you're entitled to a further discount.

The shoes are good and they last.

Thank you so much for the info on ECCO
