Renewal Of My Non-Oa Visa

Is there any problem with renewing my non-oa (retirement) visa 6 weeks before it's due? I want to be traveling during the time when it expires.

I believe the earliest you can renew is 30 days before expiration.

I think you have your visa terminology mixed up and perhaps are on a yearly extension of stay based on retirement instead of an O-A visa.
