Hi,Looks like we will stay in the area around On Nut BTS station for some time.Does anyone know of any sports activities we can do while we are there? (fitness, martial arts, running, tennis, etc.)It doesn't have to be in English. A Thai place will be fine. Thanks a lot.

I've stayed round there a few times.. There's a driving range not far away. Not a lot else. You could chase the dogs around the Tesco car park..

I noticed a Tae Kwan Do (sp?) club next to Carrefour, the same road as 'The Bedrooms'.

Just along On Nut road and past Soi 14 is one of the "Now Fitness" gyms. They have all the standard gym equipment.

"Ice" is one of the personal trainers there and can speak English. You can go as a casual member or you can take out a one month or longer membership that works out a bit cheaper.

I was thinking about starting there as I live in On Nut. Do you have any information to share about their monthly/quarterly rates?

Thanks in advance.

There is an outdoor Muay Thai Gym which is very good between Sukhumvit 50 and 62!!

Is it on Sukhumvit itself or on one of the sois (which one)?

Thanks.

It is on one of the small side sois which go from soi 50-62 avoiding sukhumvit. It is next to a small bridge over a klong i think between 60 & 58 or maybe 58 & 56. If you turn up soi 56, go all the way to the end, follow the road round to the left past 7/11. Go straight on where the is the right turn 50m past 7/11, follow the road signs for soi 62 and the Muay Thai gym is on the right hand side near the klong bridge.

There are also tennis courts, badminton and a swimming pool on soi 56 on left hand side as you go up. Badminton can be busy, so book in advance. Piyarom is a fantastic looking place, but very expensive.

Ah thought u meant soi 50-62 on nut instead of sukhumvit :(

You were looking for something right on On Nut? Because that muay thai gym isn't too far from where On Nut and Sukhumvit meet, meaning..... it would be a good 15 minute jog warmup, but ya its own sukhumvit and not on On Nut.
