Street Barbers?

Featured Replies

Any sections of town where barbers line up their chairs and work outside? Looking for shave and/or haircut outside....and...anyone know the price?

I have never seen this in Thailand.

In Vietnam I have seen, and used the barber in the street service.

There was some barbers along Suksawat Road a few years ago, but not sure if they are still there, was about 60THB as I recall.

There is a overpass between Prakanong (Sukumvit 71) and Onnut BTS area. The overpass also serves as a place you can make a "U" turn to go back north on Sukhumvit and all the little mini (what ever you call them) make their roundabout there. Underneath this bridge you will find many outdoor barbar's in little spaces there. They are quite busy and they don't charge to much.

Wow City prices, 60 baht to sit in a chair in the road. + a few years ago.

I go to a air con shop in the next Village, prices have gone up again about 3 months ago, now 60 baht hair cut, 30 baht shave or 50 baht shave a beard trim.. in 2003 & 4 a hair cut was 30 baht.

Nothing near me.. (Silom/Saladaeng). I found a 60B barber in a shack, but I always find a spot she misses (close shaved head) and the power flickers off and on....so I just do it myself....but an outside cut/shave would be fun if it were near me....oh well...
