Hello everybody!

I'm looking for a tennis academy/school in Bangkok for my oldest daughter. We live more or less on Sukhumvit and so it d be great if I could let her do her tennis thing closeby. I'm looking for a tennis club (or sportsclub) where she learns how to play AND where she can make some friends as well. So private lessons are not necessary (although I should take some smile.gif)

Anyone any suggestions please?

Thank you!

There is a place next to SCAD (Soi Cat and Dog foundation) that looks nice. It is off of Phra Khanong (Khlong Tan)

Tennis isn't my sport, but it is worth a look I think.

There are courts many places but the "pros" there are very poor teachers

They just hit the ball to you and make a suggestion or two.

They sometimes do more harm than good, sad to say.

Le Smash Club http://www.lesmashclub.com/index.lasso,

is down Rama 3 [Asoke] at Soi 64.

Seven beautiful courts and very good instructors.

It is a bit expensive but not that much.

Soi Klang Club http://www.rqclub.com/index.html#

on Sukhumvit Soi 49 is also nice but

does not have the quality of professional.

Finding the teacher is the hard part.

If you do then they can meet anywhere to learn and play

I can highly recommend Timo [0846718478] who teaches at

Sukhumvit Soi 38 Sunshine Courts.

He has lots of students and has been around for a long time.

Some Court location information is here

And if you are really serious about getting the best programs

there is The Tennis Academy of Asia and National Tennis Center

both located out near Don Muang airport about 30 minutes away.

Good Luck

They ve got good courts at the British Club as well, but it s very expensive to become a member. Moreover, I do not know if they have a tennis academy for kids.

I know for a fact that one of the coaches of the British Club coaches at the Le Smash Club as well (I am a member there), so you might as well give them a try as their courts are very good and they don't cost near as much as the British Club smile.gif.

And I'm sure Le Smash has a good tennis academy for kids. At least that is what my tennis friends there tell me!

Cheers!

if you are still looking for a tennis coach, i'm running tennis lesson in Bangkok. I can come at your place, or i can propose some courts nearby Sathorn/Sukhumvit.

I'm an experimented coach and ex-competitor, and i can fit my lesson to your level and your goals.

Feel free to contact me on my phone (0849722644) or on my email address [email protected].

Hope to meet you on the court soon!
