appropriate
What Burmese border points are we able to get stamped out and then back in to Thailand? Is it still only Mae Sai in the far North and a boat from close to Ranong? Don't suppose the 3 pagoda pass is open for people who needs stamps out of and then back in to Thailand? Cheers. appropriate
wikitravel says it's open to only foreigners http://wikitravel.org/en/Three_Pagodas_Pass Three Pagodas Pass (Thai: ด่านเจดีย์สามองค์ Darn Chedi Sam Ong) is on the Thai-Myanmar border but accessible to foreigners only from the Thai side. ... The border crossing at Three Pagodas Pass is in a state of flux, but has been reopened as of December 9, 2010. But does that mean you'll be stamped out/in? appropriate
Call immigration: 1111 or 1178. I thought Thaivisa might be a helpful place. I know the answer already anyway... if anybody else needs to know at least you'll have two phone numbers.
gk10002000
I so want to go to BAGAN on my next trip. I also want to wander up country in Thailand a bit, but for safety sake, I don't think I will loiter near the border regions. I will just fly into Burma. Heck, got to fly back in to Thailand anyway in order to get the 30 day visa. Might as well book a round trip from BKK.

edwinchester
Unfortunately until the Three Pagoda crossing is upgraded to international status it is not possible to do a visa run there. Mae Sot was still closed as of last week too.
Richard4849
I was at Three Pagodas Pass a couple weeks ago. The border there is definitely closed.
buckeye
Mae sot is still closed, and does not look to be close to opening. It is now been closed for close to a year.
apetley
I was at Three Pagodas Pass a couple weeks ago. The border there is definitely closed. Even when it is open you can't do a visa run there. Only allowed a visit to the nearby Burmese market I believe.
