I thought I had till the end of the month left on my Non O visa (I'm married to a Thai). But I looked in my passport yesterday to find that I was supposed to get a stamp/do a border run on the 16th.

I know these rules always seem to be changing - what is the current procedure? I have to go to immigration? and pay... how much? A flat fee or a daily rate? Also - where is the immigration office in Pattaya these days? Down in Jomtien somewhere right?

500 baht/day or maximum 20.000 baht.

You can pay at immigrations if you can show a ticket out the same day.

Paying at the airport is the best way to do it.

You know that you can get a 60 day extension at immigrations if you are married.

From Police order 777/2551

2.24 In the case of an alien visiting a Thai spouse or child:

Permission will be granted for a period of not more than 60 days at a time.

(1) Proof of relationship.

(2) In the case of a spouse, their marital relationship shall be de jure (legitimate) and de facto.

Are you looking at the visa or your permission to stay stamp?

TH

Permission to stay stamp. My visa is still good until July sometime.

From what you werwe saying (Poor Sucker). Do I have to do a border run one way or the other? i.e. they will stamp it at immigration if I can prove that I will be leaving the same day? Because if that's the case then I may as well just leave and come back with a fresh stamp.

Better make a border dash.
