Where Can I Buy A Bacowave In Bkk?

Featured Replies

My hotel staff are not very good at cooking bacon for our customers. They usually overcook it or drown it in cooking oil, and cook only a couple of bacon slices at a time, whereas we often need 10 or so slices cooked quickly.

The 'Bacowave' seems a solution to this problem, but I have not seen this item for sale in major stores, such as Central Shopping.

I'm up in Bangkok for a couple of days. Can anyone tell me if they have seen Bacowaves for sale, and in which store?

I can purchase this item from Ebay, but it's a last resort since the overall cost with shipping is somewhat expensive.

Thanks

Simon

I'm not sure if they have exactly what you want but a good place to look is a shop located on Wireless Road right next to the Vietnamese Embassy. I dont recall the name of the shop but you cant miss it if you can find the Viet emb. They sell lots of imported kitchen stuff, utensils etc. It's quite a large store. By the way I bought my bacon cooker at Walmart last time I was in the USA. They work great.

Simon, your "hotel staff" consists of 2 people. (refering to the Krabi place). I mean how difficult can it be to show them how to do it?

Please, no offence intended. :)

Why not just use your microwave with a bacon tray?

I think that's what he is looking for, either the tray or the wave. I haven't seen either for sale here but the shop I mentioned above may have them.

Train them. It ain't hard.

There ain't a person in the World can't cook dead pig slices.

The place spaniel is talking about is called Verasu.

They have a few branches but wireless road is prolly the biggest. There's also one in china town.

They drown it in cooking oil? Disgusting.

If you can't teach your staff how to cook bacon, I'd say your problems go beyond getting a new appliance

Most restaurants cook up a large batch at a time (enough for the day) then throw pieces in the salamander for a few seconds before serving ;)
