I was studying 1 Year in Thailand, i got a so called ED-Visa. which ends at 31.3. Now i got an Job-offer, starting 1.4. the company told me,

go outside Thailand, Laos ? I should apply there for a 3(2) month tourist visa which will be converted to an B.

* Do i have to stamp my ED Visa as invalid, before apply for a 3(2) month tourist visa ?

* if yes, how ?

Thanks

Why is the compnay not giving you the right docuemtns to apply for a non-b straight away? That would be much easier, if they have their paperwork in order.

Note that you are not allowed to work till you have a work permit, which you only get when you have a non-immigrant visa. Not on a tourist visa.

When you apply for a new visa in Laos, they will cancel your current visa, if that is happens to be still valid.

The company itself is an Canadian. We never talked who pay's all the visa fees in general?

Ask Them to pay for the W.P. and visa fees, if they don't agree, ask them for 50% of the costs...
