Khao Yai - Harmed By Latest Rains?

Featured Replies

i am going to phuket island for 2 weeks starting april 7. i was thinking of going to khao yai. i was wondering if it had been badly affected by the recent rains and floods. i read that the koh phi phi ferry was stopped for 1-2 days earlier this week. was the ferry to khao yai island also stopped? is it running now?

Khao Yai is a huge national park 2 hours north of Bangkok - nowhere near Phuket!

Obviously, though, I know you mean KOH Yai. But, the point of me writing is that if you go to a tour operator and ask for a ticket to Khao Yai, that's what they'll probably arrange for you - a long distance bus to Korat! They won't query your request. Make sure sure ask for KOH Yai.

As for the flood situation, I don't know - sorry. However, Phi Phi ferry is running, and the weather has calmed down a lot. Sun and blue skies as I write this. You should be okay in 5 days time, but take notice of other answers here, and check the weather forecast.
