Changing From Non-B (Extn.) To Non-O.

Hi guys,

I need a litle help if you could please.

Currently on Non-B extn. which expires late July 2011 and want to change to Non-O (marriage).

I will be in Europe (Italy, France, Spain, Portugal) on vacation with wife during June. (I am not Italian, Spanish or Portuguese)

If we take all necessary documents (marriage cert., wife ID, Map of house, Tabian Bahn, monthly income proof, bank details, TM7 form etc..),

will I be able to get a NON-O Visa (12 month hopefully) in either Rome, Madrid or Lisbon?

Do you want a visa entry for 90 days at a time (multi entry non immigrant O) or do you want to change the reason for one year extension of stay to Thai Wife in July?

You do not use a TM.7 or any of that extension of stay material to obtain a visa. As for obtaining multi entry when you are not of that nationality it can be hit and miss. Documents would be passport/marriage certificate/wife ID and home register at many places but could be more or less.

I'd prefer to change the reason for extension from Non-B to Thai wife Non-O 12mths if possible, but of course 90 days multi entry Non-O would have to do if that's all I could get.

At your next renewal just apply for Thai wife extension of stay rather than employment in that case. For that your wife will have to attend with her ID/Home register and marriage certificate. You should have photos together in/outside home with number on at least one of them. There is no O or B used for extensions of stay - they are just issued from a non immigrant visa entry for a specific reason (business, Thai wife, retirement or such).
