April 10, 201114 yr Tony: I second lannarebirth. I came here my first time at 19. I didn't know a soul (and in those days -- nearly 30 years ago -- there weren't many Falang teenagers and obviously no internet forums or facebook.) I just got out there and had an amazing time, a lot of with the Thais that I met. EDIT TO ADD: On second thought -- it would be irresponsible of me to suggest you did it the way I did; stick to the internet! (But I did have me some big fun).

April 11, 201114 yr what brought you to thailand? ...the girls?:jap: or the boys... Here's an interesting bit of trivia. Leuk Kreung are quite the hot commodity in "adult films" directed at the Thai gay community. I'll spare you the additional torrid steamy details, but there is a very large market for them and many Thais seeks them out for certain types of relationships. If someone wants to hang around others of a similar age then the logical move would be to go where they congregate. In the case of late teen to early 20's, a university should be destination number 1. It's a no brainer. The 2nd likely place will be a shopping mall, The bumping into a girl and apologizing profusely is a tried and true method that works even for the "elderly". (Don't know if it works on guys though.)
April 11, 201114 yr Ignore that silliness about gay porn and such. How anyone came to that conclusion is beyond me. Seriously. Stick with Facebook and Twitter. You'll find numerous people your age that way. Forums are more for people to impress themselves with their thesis quality posts on where to buy a cheeseburger.
April 14, 201114 yr Turning 20 next year? Probably meet lots of friends when you do military conscription! (only semi-joking, but this is something you'll have to deal with shortly!)
