Mobility For A Disabled Person

Featured Replies

If there is anyone out there who knows someone who has a problem

walking, I have a wheeled walking frame which folds up, has brakes and a seat. It has a little container to store shopping etc. I also have a lightweight Zimmer frame.

They are both free but I would like to see them go to someone

who could really make use of them.

PM me if interested.

maybe you could give it to the local old people's home ( if there is such a place here ) , or maybe the goverment hospital, they will know someone to poor to afford these items....

You could also look at donating to the local charity groups - Sisters on Samui or Rotary. They both have lots of Samui contacts.

Thanks to all for the responses.Sisters on Samui seems to be the best option. Gator.

Five years ago, the Rotary Club of Koh Samui distributed 99 wheelchairs, both electric and manual, donated by a local authority from the UK as they no longer met the UK safety standards. Sponsorship was also raised from local businesses placing sponsors names on the rear of the seats

Distribution was mainly through Nathon Hospital where you should get help to find a suitable recipient, but also many were sent to Suratthani and one or two to Hat Yai.
