Want To Rent A Boat Over Over Night Around Phi Phi

Hey there

well, we have guests and would love to hire a boat for 1 - 2 days around phi phi. We come from Suratthani, so Krabi or Phucket, etc. would be fine. At latest we can start the following tuesday.

We do not want a driver, but want to go by ourselves. Hopefully someone knows, if there is any chances to make this happen, and let me know about it.

Thanks for your help!

Cheers

Firstly unless you have a Thai marine license or equivalent then I would imagine somebody lending / hiring you their rather expensive boat isn't going to happen. You could try sending Joe 84320 a PM as that is his game over here on Samui and he will be able to put you in the picture but I would imagine the laws are the same Phuket side.

Also unless you know the waters where you want to be sailing or anchoring around the Pi Pi islands then it makes much more sense to have a captain with the local knowledge of the waters who knows where the hidden reefs are. Without this knowledge it could prove an expensive trip

Ah, well thanks for the information first. That is actually kind of what we expected unfortunately.

Well, the thing is, that we would love to go mainly just to Maya Bay, anchor there and spend the night or two there on the boat. I dont think too many captains would do that.

They will if the price is right ...

I don't think you can take boat into Maya bay at night as there is a company that does night camping trips at Maya bay and they seem to be only people allowed access to the bay after sunset

There is an operator in Krabi offering such tours with a large boat, but not without a crew. There will be a captain and 1-2 deck hands. The boat is very comfortable about 85'. Recommend you to send an inquiry to [email protected] . You can make overnight stays around Phi Phi, i.e. Maya Bay or Lohsama Bay.
