Best Parts To Live?

Featured Replies

I was wondering the best areas to live in Bangkok?

Considering dating ladies, cheap merchandise like good Tshirts and buying a new cheapish condo around 22 grand?

Thanks

the trendy, sukhumvit soi 13

First of all, the soi has its own special ambiance -- it is not posh, but has a special bohemian vibe that would be hard to replicate anywhere else in the city.

In the immediate environs boast a plethora of dining and drinking establishment that run the gamut from Street Thai to Upscale Western cuisine. The area possesses a very cosmopolitan yet wonderfully ethnic mix.

While not overrun by ladies of leisure like so many populous areas in the city, Sukhumvit Boulevard, especially in the late evening hours, is the favored strolling destination destination of many of the professional single women working in the area.

The variety of contemporary music featured by many of the small roadside eateries helps to create a diverse but intimate atmosphere, while the fresh seafood and excellent service have helped develop the area into a preferred destination for tourists and locals alike.

It is truly alfresco living at it best - a vibrant local scene, fine drinking and dining, and an ever changing visual tapestry of authentic Thai culture under beneficent shade of the the MRT.

it seems tailor made for you.

You wish to buy a condo for 22 Grand ? US, GPB, Aussie ?

Either way.. very doubtful that this is possible.

Or did you mean Rent for 22,000 baht per month? In which case there should be plenty of 'average' places to choose from.

No doubt about it it is impossible. They'd want that to allow you to pitch a tentlaugh.gif

I did see a nice 32sqm studio one on the new BTS line the other day for 1.3 million. A fair gallop through traffic from Nana Plaza eg but with the BTS due to open 12th Aug central BKK it will only be minutes away.

As far as cheap T-shirts go to a newcomer street stalls on Sukhumvit Soi's 5 to 15 will seem cheap but if you're buying more than a few head for Pratunam and day of the week or Chatachuk (Don't know how to spell it) market on a Sunday.

Dating girls? I think that's illegal in Thailand, you'll have to buy them like the rest of uslaugh.gif

Very true, however I wouldn't recommend that anyone choose a place to live based on the local availability of cheap t-shirts.

LOL

Thanks all

I guess the Metropolis is more expensive for condos than Pattaya!

I telll you something

I bought 7 Tshirts in 2007 and still today after weekly washes and wear etc most still are quality and look and feel nearly new.

Taniic I hear Pratunam market is good for Tshirt quality and prices as you mention?Apparently this is where Mike shopping vendors go to get their Tshirts.
