Changing To Eduction Visa Question

Hello all,

I would post this in the visa section but I never seem to get many responses in there.

Right now I am on a vacation visa and I am switching over to an Education Visa as I want to learn more of the language and obviously stick around for a little longer.

I been told you have to go someplace like Laos and leave the country then come back with the initial Education Visa Procedure, then you got to go to immigration every 3 months and renew etc.

I been told by my school that if I want to spend 12 000 baht I can skip the trip to Laos and just go to immigration now and change it over... its costs more but one would not have to take the day or two to Laos.

Has anyone ever heard of that cause it is the first time i heard of this. I dont want to go to immigration last day and try this and have them say what the world are you talking about:)

thanks all
