Translated Classics/Novels Into Thai

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've been trying to read some classics such as The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Les Miserables by Victor Hugo and am actually struggling to read it (I personally think Hugo is hard to read anyway since there's so much details to keep up with) so I was wondering which book store in Bangkok has those novels translated into Thai(grew up in Thailand so Thai is actually my first language)? I also was wondering if they had Wuthering Heights by Emiltry Bronte translated?

Thanks!

Not sure if they have it but a good bookstore to check is the kinokuniya in Siam Paragon, its a huge store with alot of books in Thai

Even native english speaker struggle to read books of this caliber. Imagine how it's original symbolism and interpretation will be warped after a thai translator went through it. If you're already struggling i suggest looking around more for another writer that you can identify more with. I always do that and once i found that it feels like i am in love. Stick to the english is my advice.
