I received an e-mail this morning saying the following

"This little girl is at the Phuket Hospital in Thailand.

She does not remember her own name or anything! She has lost her parents.

She must be of Western origin. She was a victim when she got caught in the tidal wave disaster in Phuket, Thailand and nobody knows who she is, so we are hoping if we distribute this email around the world someone will know her.

Please don't break the chain, your contribution could be the one that solves this little girls problem. Please forward this to all your contacts"

It sounds genuine and i see no reason why it should be an hoax. I don't go onto other Thai related forums, so if you are a member of another forum could you post this on there. Hopefully, with 20,000 + members we might be able to help.

I recieved this email today as well from a friend in the US. This little girl was reunited with family members in the days following the tsunami. Her picture was in the Phuket Gazette and they reported that she had been claimed.

I don't understand why this is circulating again after so long.

It does seem strange. I've just looked at the original message date and it was generated on the 30th Sept 2005. Is there anyone near the Hospita in Phuket who can clarify that she is still there or not?

Yeah this is a repeat of a previous email... there was an article i nthe phuket Gazette about this shortly after the Tsunami.

I'm gunna close this for now, if you want it reopened, let me know.
