Moving...Looking For Quiet Area...Need Advice :)

Featured Replies

Hi!

I am planning on moving shortly because I can no longer put up with the noisy neighbors and people outside at 5am......but the worst thing would be for me to move somewhere just as bad or worse!!! I looked at a condo in the Patong Loft Condominium...which i really liked...but does anyone know if it is quiet there? I know that it is somewhat close to the temple...will I be hearing broadcasts frequently from there!?

Please if anyone knows that area I would greatly appreciate your input!

thanks again!

Uh, move away from Patong...

I agree, Patong is the wrong place to be looking for quiet areas, unless you head up into the hills.

Try Rawai.

yepp, leave Patong

Or have a look south end of beach up the hills to Baan Suan Kamnan, the only Patong area I would consider living

I forgot to mention that I work in patong..... :)

I also only have a motorbike as of now and I do not want to commute a long distance.

I realize that quiet and patong is a contradiction, but im looking for MORE QUIET than where I am now. :)

I guess the main question is can I hear the temple ramblings from patong loft condos? :)

Six years ago I lived up on Ha Sipee road and it was as quiet as it gets for Patong. Look around up there. Living near a Wat can be a bit noisy in the morning, quiet at night, unless they have a fund raising carnival.

Or move to Kathu area.

Just over the hill from Patong and only 3 km away.

Many expacts are living in Kathu and have a business in Patong. ( Including myself )

Only the hill can be a disadvantage if you are on a scooter and pissed. :whistling: Otherwise no problem.

The Patong hill would put me of going in that direction I don't worry about my driving I can take care of that it's the Road and the other drivers i worry about.

When you look at different soi etc make sure that near the house flat you are interested in there is not a inch of land that they can bulld on later and that Inc old biulding's that they can clear for new builds there is still some places that are not too noisy but don't forget we are talking about Patong

Good Hunting

For Patong, I agree here. Go up past the Ban Yin Dee toward Tri-trang and look at those houses on the right. Should be pretty quiet up there and you are not too far out of town.

Should get a cheap rental there.
