Gmail "Important"

Featured Replies

GMAIL has introduced a new icon that denotes an "important" email whether or not I want it's unrequested input. How do I turn this annoying and presumptuous new feature "OFF"???

GMAILS initial simplicity was its main attraction for me. Now, they seem to be adding more bells and whistles that just get in the way.

What about G-mail grouping e-mails together (I have often missed e-mails that way)? Is it possible to turn off that function?

Tools (top right cog wheel), Mail Options, General, Conversation view (off), save.

I'm not sure if this is what you're after, but have a look here:
