DMC1 Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 I am pretty new to Apple. I've got a MacbookPro, great piece of kit but I wanted to find out peoples recommendations of PDF converter apps/software. I have M.Office for the Mac but I need something to combine all my work reports together in one pdf file. I normally use Abode professional on my Windows computer and like the snapshot tool and ability to add comments and stuff. Free is good. Thanks.
siamdivers Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 I am not sure I understand your question. Do you just want to make PDFs? That is built in on the Apple OS by pushing command (apple key) + p (print, then it gives you an option to make a PDF file right there, screen shot enclosed). Once you make the PDF you can either use Adobe Reader or you can use the built in Preview program. Both do quite a lot, but maybe not enough for what you're trying to do, but I am pretty sure you can add notes and comments. Explain more and maybe I can point you in the correct direction.

OK thanks. Would this be able to convert multiple page XL workbooks into PDF and combine it as one PDF document and not extract them as separate PDF files ? Much appreciated on my mac learning curve.
DMC1 Posted May 24, 2011 Author Posted May 24, 2011 ^ OK, I have had a play around with an XL workbook and can now do the above. Thanks for the help siamdivers.
DMC1 Posted May 29, 2011 Author Posted May 29, 2011 Also, to add the above I have now downloaded 'PDF Merge' - Free. This allows me to combine multiple PDF files together in the order I require.
