Visa

Featured Replies

Hi all

Hope you can answer this for me as i need to make a run to the border soon if i have to leave Thailand, as i have a double entre visa can thai imergration just stamp my Visa for the secound 90 days or do i have to cross the boarder and come back into Thailand????????????

I am near Surin northeast in thailand about an 1 1/2 hour drive to Cambodia.

If you have a 2 entry Tourist Visa you get 60 days each entry.

Each 60 days can be extended by a further 30 days at Immigration.

To activate your second entry you have to leave the country and return before the Visa expiry date.

What kind of visa do you have? Thailand uses single entry or multi entry visas for non immigrant and one, two, three entry for tourist visa as normal.

But no you can not obtain a new visa entry of 60 or 90 days from an immigration office inside Thailand - you must exit, enter another country and return.

I have a Non immigrant visa and i am using the first part of the Visa now and will run out on the 05/07/2011 that is why i asked the quistion if it could be restampt in thailand. But thanks to your replys it looks like i will do the run to the border like all the rest.

I only hope one day soon the Thai goverment will see that the Tourist are a good thing for thailand.$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ that we spend on woman and cars and houses.

What kind of a non immigrant visa do you have that has more than one part? They are normally issued as single entry for one stay of 90 days or multi entry for one year of up to 90 day stays (number unlimited except by time).

HI

The Non Immigrant Visa is a category "0" and it has a Good for Two Journey/s. And as i said i am useing the first part of the visa now. I arrived in thailand on the 07/04/2011 and the date for the first part of the visa is until 05/07./2011. on the bottom of the visa stamp in bold letters is ( extension of stay not permitted ) this was done in Australia melbourne thai Embassy.

You paid 2x the normal price for this? It is not a normal issue (but some Consulates are not normal it seems). Just want to be sure it is still valid when you make your trip. What is the issue date and expiration date on the visa stamp itself (not your permitted to stay until stamp you got on arrival)? You must return before that expiration date. They did write "1" on your visa to indicate you still have one entry remaining (not a used stamp)?

A two entry Non Imm O Visa. A very rare animal and an Australian specialty.

Yes you have to leave and re enter.

Non-Immigrant 'O' Visa Information

Non-Immigrant visa category 'O' is for the applicants wishing to enter the Kingdom of Thailand on a long term holiday, visiting family or friend, or volunteer purposes. An applicant can only apply at maximum 2 entries.

All i can see on the visa stamp is these dates 23/02/2011 23/08/2011 these are the dates in the round red stamp visa must be utilised before. In pen is the date i arrived in thailand 07/04/2011 and the number 1 in the Blue stamp from the air port are the dates 07/04/2011 until 05/06/2011and the type of visa is "o" Non immigrant visa.

That is all the dates on the visa.

Thank you for your help and yes i hope to be in Thailand for some time to come and yes i have to learn the ways of the thai goverment. As for the Type O visa Melbourne is the only city that can Not give a One Year Visa as i rang all the thai embassy and they just closed the Embassy in Perth.

You should be fine as it was noted as a two entry visa and not marked used; as long as "07/04/2011 until 05/06/2011" was a mistype and it is really 05/07/2011 as you posted earlier. Leave by 5 July and your can immediately return or wait until up to 22 August for your second entry of 90 days.
