MINISTRY OF COMMERCE TO PROMOTE THAI AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS AND SEAFOOD TO CHINA

After visiting Chengdu (เฉินตู ), capital of Sichuan(เสฉวน) Province in China Mr. PREECHA LAOHAPONGCHANA (ปรีชา เลาหพงศ์ชนะ ), Deputy Commerce Minister met with Ms Shao Shiyu (เชา ฉีหยู), President of Hong Shi (หงษ์ฉี) Supermarket Co., Ltdin China. Hong Shi Co Ltd which runs a chain store comprising 600 branches in Sichuan Province. Thailand would like to see its Thai agricultural products and seafood export to China to cater to a population of 87 million people in Sichuan Province and also to support the growth of more than 5,000 businesses over the country.

The goods that would be exported for the first time will be seafood, rice and fruits.

Mr. PREECHA (ปรีชา) said that he will soon discuss with Chinese officials in finding ways to eliminate barriers in trade especially the export of fresh fruits to China.
