Bus To Hua Hin

Featured Replies

I will be wanting to take a BIG bus to Hua Hin next week, preferably a VIP BUS.

What bus station in Bkk does the bus leave from?

What are the times the bus leaves?

What is the cost and duration of the trip 1 way.

Thank You

Last time I went I used the Mo Chit bus station. You can go to the Mo Chit Bus Station. Tell the info desk you want to go VIP Bus to Hua Hin. They will help you. I don't know the Thai name of the bus company but the buses are all blue in color. There are several company's. You want to take a 24 seat bus if you can. A 36 seat is OK but the 24 is better. Last time I went was around 500B. The bus stopped at their new bus terminal south of town and not in town. They will drop you off where ever you ask them too anywhere along the route in town. Usually by a hotel. There is also a south western bus station in Bangkok but I've never used them. Others might have. Took 3 hours too.

The Southern Bus Terminal in Bangkok has buses leaving every 20 or 30 minutes between 4 or 5AM and 10 to 10:30pm headed for Hua Hin. It is about a 3 to 3.5 hour ride in an a/c bus. The price is just under 200 baht. There are probably frequent buses leaving from the airport too. You can also get a mini-van from Victory monument.

I "think" the VIP buses will drop you off outside downtown Hua Hin while the regular AC buses (>200 baht) will let you get off downtown. The regular buses from the Southern Terminal are generally pretty comfortable and fairly new.

unfortunately the site is not available in English

Not only is it in Thai ,but it is for The Transport Company, who run mainly 2nd class buses. They do run some 1st and VIP services, but not very many ,, in comparison to the private operators. They do not service all destinations. So, they do not offer the greatest range of choices. By any means. Sadly, there is no proper timetable of all bus services published in Thailand. The only way to find out both bus Class and departure times ,is by going to your local bus station.Or for North and North Eastern buses , Morchit 2, The South- The Southern Bus terminal .Most of the East -Ekamai (some do leave from Morchit 2)

VIP buses from the southern bus terminal seem to be what you're looking for. Most will let you off at the clocktower in the centre of Hua Hin if you ask them to let you off there From the clocktower you can take a motorcycle taxi to wherever you want to go for 40 baht or so. Nisa has everything else correct.

A minibus from Victory Monument is what I usually take, but VIP buses work out just as well.

Last time I went - back in 2008 - the bus ticket was cheaper than the frickin' taxi to the bus depot.mad.gif

I just went with the blue bus from the southern bus terminal to Hua Hin and the price was 160 Thb, in the day time the busses run every 20 min.
