Executed in the US by Firing Squad!
I don't support the death penalty AS CURRENTLY APPLIED. Too many cases of poor people convicted with bad legal representation. And unequally applied to minorities. In cases of especially heinous crimes where guilt is not in doubt I believe it would be a deterrent if it happened within a year of verdict. Taking 20 years for appeals and the like doesn't work because most people capable of committing a crime worthy of this penalty don't think that far ahead. -

Perhaps many people are not willing to put their lives on the line and fight for a country they no longer recognise as their own. I suspect the UK government will have recruiting problems for all the UK armed forces. Still. They have a large pool of "boat experts" they can tap for the Navy. -

In defiance of Trump, I think Nato should put troops on the ground in Ukraine.
Meanwhile back in reality, Ukraine is losing in the east AND in Kursk. Reports on this forum say Ukrainians are deserting in droves- so much for "stronger will To Defend Own Homeland".
