How To Get A Landline ? Seems Impossible

Featured Replies

Since moving here we have regularly visited both TT&T and TOT to try to organise a landline for our home near Mabprachan.

Each time we are told come back in a month, no lines available. Come back next month. Which we have done. But still no line, or phone !

Does anyone out there know how best to do it ? Experiences of those who have managed it would be very interesting.

Seen several cabling trucks over the last two months or so on Siam Country Club Road, and hoped they were for phones, but still the usual response 'come back in a month'.

Any ideas or advice appreciated.

I live at maprachan puddle and the easiest way to get a line is to buy one from someone who's moving or doesn't need it anymore.

other than that just wait , I've been waiting over a year now :o

It must be your area.

In Sri Racha the TOT manager was offering me 2nd line.

People are giving up land lines in favour of Mobile.

I waited for three years to get my landline in Chiang Mai. I would insist that your name go on a waiting list and that you be notified when the line is available.

I did the monthly bit to no avail for the first year and then got my name on the list. They notified me to come in to get my line via mail. I was actually allowed to pick an easy number to remember.

Now I am battling high level of static. TIT
