Im in the process of applying for a non-immigrant O visa.

Im married to a Thai woman and I plan to move to Thailand. I don’t have a job there, but I have some savings and I would like to stay as long as I can.

I want to apply for a 12 month multi entry visa but if I have understood it right I will only be allowed to stay 90 days and then I will have to do a visa run.

In the visa application form there is a question “Duration of Proposed Stay”. Should I fill in the full 12 months there or should I write 90 days?

Thanks

Once in Thailand itself, you can extend your stay to 1 year without leaving the country (and every year again). If you can show an income of 40,000 a month (can be from abroad) or 400,000 in a bank account in Tailand in your name for at least 2 months. (apply during the last 30 days of any permission to stay).
