Agree with you! I too in my career was assigned to many cities where the pollution was very dangerous much of that was prior to unleaded gasoline. I can recall the govt doctors that visited the missions always complained about our outdoor activities (sports, etc) in such pollution,. One female world class runner upon returning to her capital and getting the regular physical, afterwards was told by the doctors that she was in great physical shape but that it was a must that she give up smoking as they showed her pictures of her lungs which appeared to be those of a 2-pack a day smoker. She had never smoked a day in her life - all due to exercising in polluted cities! Even my wife now talks about when we return to our house in CM, those worst 4 months we should consider travelling to some cleaner-air place. -
