Something like this if you need something less expensive: HTC Wildfire S. 8900.00 Baht and runs Gingerbread (Android 2.3).

Iv'e just purchased a Samsung Galaxy mini.5000 baht for her in doors.Good for skype, google ,email,facebook .100's of free apps.Touchscreen the lot.The cameras only 3mp ,but still ok, for the pricecool.gif You can use it, on any Thai network.Hope this helps.

I got the galaxy gio; a couple thousand step up from the mini; can be a bit slow at times but other than that pretty decent. Still waiting for 3g, was going to go to true but after their anti-foreigner sentiment was made clear, will go to dtac.

But no front camera so not good for Skype the Wildfire S

must it be some "international" phone to work in BKK ?

or what kind of network for now and the future is necessary?

i'm in USA, so will buy here and use during trips over there
