Point Grabber

Featured Replies

When I was 14 yrs old I joined a 4X4 club.

Obviously I was not legally allowed to drive a car, but I arranged with other members of the club to tag along.

When, at 17 I finally got my license I joined the club as a driver.

We supported "rally australia", as crash crew, Aussie super cars as recovery crew etc etc.

In my first year I set out to become the "clubman" of the year.

This meant that I had "earn" the most amount of points.

Points were earnt by attending club 4X4 trips and extra points were awarded if you lead the trip (planning and all that).

I ended up winning the clubman award that year, it all boiled down to the last long weekend of the year, I organised a trip that I called "point grabber".

I still have the clubman trophy.

In the tradition of "point grabber" what do you have to say to us in order to build up your post count?

Tell us about something you are proud of in your past (or perhaps not proud of).

Well, 'cause of my job, I've got 'Platinum' cards from two different airlines for the miles flown.

Not too proud of that as flying sucks these days... :o

I got throught the Heats of the High Jump for School Sports Day at Prep School.

Then I got knocked out in the first round of the finals.

I also came second (out of two people running) for year representative to the School Council.

When I was 7 or 8 years old I came down with the chicken pox.

Because I am such a handsome man (even when I was 7) I was the natural choice to be the sports team captain.

I had to run the flag relay as the main runner, however I did not know the rules (due to my sickness). I picked up all the flags in the one run.

Huge problem, I nearly turned to drugs to get over this one :o:D

Around that same age, we were going to Western Speedway in Victoria British Columbia just about every weekend. Hanging out in the pits as much as possible, watching my big Brother race and sneaking in beers. There was this American team visiting once, a great bunch of guys n gals all and after a taste, they really liked Canadian beer. They promptly offered us 24 Coors for 6 Canadian beers and...

Wish I'd never taken them up on that- a moment I'm not so proud of :D

Thanks for letting me come clean after all these years...

Now, I'm off to belatedly report myself to the dept of 'unCanadian-like activities :D

During my last year as an undergraduate, I had nowhere to live. So I stayed with my girlfriend.

The only “problem” was she shared a big double bed with one of the other girls in their house.

So I can proudly say that, for at least six months, I slept with two girls every night.

I once had a dump on the canvas walls of a toilet tent during a Himalayan camping holiday.

Then later I complained about the lack of hygiene, and, having showed proof to the Court, got a US$ 3000 refund for the trip.

serious? does a bear sh1t in the woods? (hopefully not near the moog)

Who wants to share a tent with the moog?

I once was trekking in the Nepalese foothills and staying in small village guesthouses each night. The village toilet was down a wobbly, pitch-dark track. I found it with the help of a small candle but couldn't stand the stench in side. I duly wandered around the back and to my horror- upon traipsing back to the guesthouse and up the wooden stairs to my room- I discovered my shoes were covered in village <deleted>. I'd trodden it all through the house....... :D:D:o

i once shagged Bruce Dickinsons wife...

.. Does that count?

I, at fourteen, was voted most likely to drop out of school and become a drug addicted rock star......

A year later I dropped out....

(Un)Fortunately, I had to dissappoint as I´ve not yet had any serious drug addictions, though love to dabble for fun....

Oh, and I´ve yet to become a rock star, though I have played gigs around various countries and a few grassroots festivals around europe.

I do run a really cool live music venue bar though....

Who the he11 is Bruce Dickinson? :o

I was the only female in my karate class :o

I remember when I first joined all the males were thinking I was going to be rubbish and stuff but I was the first one to double grade in my karate group and later on I was asked to represent the group in a local tournament.

Things about myself I am proud of:

1. Being mature and wise beyond my years.

2. Being self-employed and self-sufficient so I no longer have to please anybody else, kiss anyones a**, or follow rules that I know are ridiculous, inept and complete & utter bulls**t.

3. Having the ability to live life the way I see fit, make my own time and not having to punch a clock.

4. A fabulous knowledge of cooking and baking. With this, it pleases me a great deal to bake some scrumptious concoction and see someone elses joy when they bite into it.

Things about myself I am proud of and perhaps shouldn't be:

1. Knowing how to make good money at such a young age and letting it occupy a good portion of my time instead of paying more attention to family.

2. My insatiable appetite for money and not being able to do enough good things with it because I am too busy trying to make more of it.

Things about myself I am not proud of:

1. There is really only one thing about myself I am not proud of. My fiery temper which I often cannot control or keep hidden. At the ripe of 6, I was playing baseball with a friend. He threw the ball at me and hit me in the side of the face with it. Was it intentional, I do not know. I ran over and whacked him right above his eye with the bat. Needless to say he never spoke to me again.

Great Post Hardcore...

ALthough, about the money thing, you know the old buddhist porverb about what you give away will be retiurned to you multiplied.... It sounds like a win win situation... My bank details are....XXXXx

An early convert to threesomes :o

I'm not sure whether to be proud of this one or not... :o

After my first trip to Thailand I returned to Oz and raved to my brother about the girls etc... as you do first time... you know, the kid in the lolly shop syndrome. :D

He gave me 30 Australian dollar coins, and told me I was to give one to each different girl I shagged, and then tell him how long it took to get rid of the 30 coins.

The rules were simple... no girl was to receive a second coin... they all had to be different.

I can't remember the exact number of days it took to dispose of those 30 coins, but I do remember it was closer to 20 than 30 days... :D

At the age of 13 I held the BHRA record at my first attempt.

When 20 I started 4x4 trialling and came second at my first attempt.

I spent many years in the racing industry and was mechanic for two champions. Damon Hill and Derek Cook

Then I went to Patters and discovered sex. I shagged more girls than you can shake a stick at and never went back to UK.

Sad story really.

In an Ironic twist that you may have missed over there, the Oldest brewery in North America has merged with it's southern dwelling neighbour and is now the headquarters of the Molson-Coors Brewing Company.

I gave them up in favour of Sleeman anyway.
