Vaccination To Poultry As Bird Flu Precaution

VACCINATION TO POULTRY AS A PRECAUTION AGAINST AVIAN INFLUENZA

Chairman on Social Development and Human Sustainability Committee NIRAN PITAKVATCHARA (นิรันดร์ พิทักษ์วัชระ) suggests the government to give vaccination to poultry as a precaution against avian influenza.

Dr. NIRAN said that the government should implement new measures in countering bird flu pandemic. He suggests the governemtn to give vaccinations to poultry in Thailand. He also said foreign countries vaccinate their chickens to prevent bird flu. Dr Niran further said the government should provide more budgets to do Research & Development in vaccines. He also suggests the Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO) speed up its medicine production for domestic use.

Following the prevention measures of bird flu disease of Public Health Minister SUCHAI CHAROENRATANAKUL (สุชัย เจริญรัตนกุล), Dr. NIRAN said that Dr. SUCHAI can perform his duty well because this is where his expertise lies in. However, Dr. SUCHAI should first emphasize on solving corruption issues in the ministry.
