I plan to spend the winter [ sept - april ] in Chiangmai as a 'trial' retirement with a probable return in the summer..I will not be seeking work and at 65 ,I can manage the financial and other criteria for a retirement visa but have been advised a non imm, visa is the best option. However on the example of the application form , all the boxes are filled notably your place of residence in Thailand . My intention is to get a hotel until I can rent somewhere ......must a hotel be booked before applying fot the visa.? thanks in anticipation
