I have just bought a Blackberry Curve 8520, I like the phone BUT i dont understand or figure out how to set my E-Mail account

i want use for work sending/rieciving E-mails

Do i have to buy a programme to install E-Mail ? I bought the phone at tut kom but the sales assistant couldnt understand what i wantd to do ( very frustrating) The phone is not a copy and works fine.

If anyone is a wizard on this problemI would really appericite any help i am not really techno savvy to say least !!!!
