Yes, I read about that too. For some reason they seem to think that giving your wife/ GF money to buy land that you can't own, and have a high possibility of losing to her when she goes back to her Thai husband ( the brother she told you about ), is some sort of scam by farangs.

Really, the mind boggles!

I read a month ago that Phuket has some 90 cases being processed by the courts where they say the Thai wife had no money before getitng married then after she was married she had access to a joint bank account that had the couples funds in it and she bought some land. Phuket lands office saying it is the husbands money, I doubt the divorce court would agree
