I have a friend who has to return to the UK for health reasons and sadly won't be returning to Thailand.

He says he will miss the food the most, and hasn't mastered any Thai cooking in his time in LOS, I was thinking I would like to prepare a cook book in large font/print for him. I searched a few book stores and the problem is the font size and frankly some of the weirdest things that I don't even think are Thai recipes just filler stuff.

I've scoured the net and again, not as original as I had hoped-does anyone know of a decent site for real authentic recipes ?

If you have any tidbits of information like what is a decent replacement for palm sugar or recipes you wish to share I would really appreciate it, I am looking at maybe 40 recipes in total.

Many thanks

You can go to Big C or Tesco to buy "Blue Elephant' Thai food paste then your friend can whip up some Thai cooking without trying to get all the special Thai ingredients.

I know he can buy paste etc back in the UK, it just isn't the same---I really want to get some original home-made recipes, he wont mind buying all of the ingredients it will give him something to do.
