Star Alliance has introduced a 'FareFinder' application for smart phones

The application allows a passenger to search for either one-way or return fares for flights between any two airports on the Star Alliance network. The search can be made by arrival or departure times, class of service, number of stops, transfer airports and point of sale. The result also displays availability of airlines for a customer to choose.

The FareFinder is available as a free download in English from staralliance .com or from the Apple App Store.
