Event organized by Samui Pride Committee (www.gay-samui.com) in support of the Samui Learning Center for Special Needs

The Koh Samui Centre of Learning for Special Needs provides an opportunity for special needs children on the island to gain an education and experience activities in life that they would normally be excluded from. The school has about 20 children with many physical and mental handicaps and is completely dependent on finance from private sponsors.

The event was a first ever for Samui and raised 5,000 baht for Samui School for Special Needs. The children themselves came to watch the event and hand out the prizes. It was a big day out for them also and a pleasure to see them enjoying themselves on the beach.

12 teams came from across Samui to compete. Some teams were from the local gay businesses others were from major Samui hotels or just friends getting together to join in the and support the day.
