List Of Best Thai Music Wanted Here

I want to create a really good video playlist on youtube to put on my channel. I don't want sappy slow love songs. I want more upbeat, rock, isan, traditional thai, whatever. Really just anything that is truly good music has some musical character or is interesting fresh and well produced.

I recently began to make playlists on youtube. Creating a playlist on youtube is quite simple and they are a great way to share with others, & also having a playlist lets you simply start the with one video and it will continue playing without any need to touch your computer any further (you can use it in full screen as well). So whether you like to watch videos or simply listen while they play in the background, it is a really. This will be especially useful for other expats like me who simply would love to enjoy really good Thai music but don't have the patience or know how to sort through all the BS. Here is a sample of a playlist I just started. As it grows and becomes better I hope you will return and enjoy the music from Thailand.

Here is a sample playlists which I am just beginning to create of some of my favorite modern western music. Its a mix rock, hip hop, electronic, and the new retro style of music coming out.

Remember that I am going to be grooming, perfecting, and adding to these playlists which I really just began recently, so if you like what I like then visit often and see what is new.

They seriously would need to get over it. Any fan is a good fan. How do you think the Beatles would have done, if they didn't want anyone to be a fan who also liked Elvis or Frank Sinatra.

Like I said, I have a wide range of tastes, and my music playlist for Thai music will be seperate, but I would really love to know the names of some of the lesser known bands. Taxi, Clash, Carabao, Loso, Bodyslam, Job 2 Do, etc; these I already know. I am hoping for some good names of not only good rock, but some good Thai country artists, old artists, etc.

Anyone who reads this please keep in mind that your thoughts will be here on Thai Visa and will help others who want to enjoy good Thai music but don't know where to look.

BTW: I know the ex-wife of the singer of marihuana.

Regarding Guetta, I am just messing around with different stuff. I like all kinds of music and wouldn't put them on that playlist.

Here is the Thai playlist I have only begun to populate:

Marihuana would be on a playlist which has artists such as Suraphon, Bodyslam, Clash, and any decent more traditional artists I come across. Anyway, if that is the case then once again it is an artiist or member of the entertainment industry that doesn't get it. Any publicity is good publicity. I worked in the industry for a couple of years with former executives from EMI and Capital, and this fact was the new trend and companies and artists that don't get that suffer. Anymore all the money is made from concert tickets, merchandise, advertising and movie soundtracks. Record sales is a really really tough way for an artist to make money, you have to spend a good amount of money on marketing , and get a following that anticipates the release so much that they either buy it out of loyalty or simply because they don't want to wait. Even the movie industry is going this direction in regards to dvd sales. Unless the artist is quite unknown, then downloading the music or copying from a friend is increasing more and more, and try to convince the kids to start buying music. Warner, Universal, etc. would love to go back to that old formula, but the likelihood is slim to none. If something can be copied on a computer, then it can be shared.

Case and point: Ok Go is a band from Los Angeles, and their videos are very creative and quite popular. EMI was their label and they refused to set up the YouTube channel to allow people to get an embed code. Many supportive fans were quite disappointed and let them know. The fans were anxious to give promotion on their websites and blogs for free. So Ok Go understood this, and broke their contract with EMI. Radiohead also was under the EMI umbrella. They were very frustrated with how these grey haired executives were stuck in this model and way of doing things. They finished up their contract after 'The Bends' and went independent. 'In Rainbows' was produced on the artists own schedule without pressure from outside sources to do things differently. When they released the record, they decided to try out an idea: release the music to the fans for free for a limited time only. The crazy thing is that their fans are so devote and appreciative that they still bought the music and it became their biggest selling record yet.

Many thai people will not have heard of a few of these artists, clash, etc, me neither. Are you after real thai music or western music which is played by thai's? Why so much bodyslam? I think they are just ghastly, on the other hand I quite like the rappers thaithanium. Not enough what you might call authentic thai music, will post a few. The lao morlam songstress is Nok Pornpana when she was at now defunct mastertape. Nor recording these days.

I am not sure that I understand what you are saying. If you have the names of artists or songs you recommend then post them here.

If you know the actual videos on youtube then posting more then a few in a message here won't work because it will automatically add the video player. So you can either send me the links in a message here through the forum or on youtube itself.

If you have the videos already saved on a favorites or playlist within youtube, then please share that with me through my user account on youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/geoharmonic

This is precisely why I need help and would appreciate recommendations. I promise that with help I will eventually make very good playlists. I edited and took out all the bodyslam. I seperated the more traditional sounds and the modern stuff into different playlists.
