Fa Level 2 Coach - Looking For A Job

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm 20 years old and will be a qualified FA Level 2 coach in a few months. I'm currently living in the UK but would love to come to Thailand and do some football coaching. Whether it's coaching players or managing a team I'll be interested.

Must provide a decent income as it will be my only line of work there, and I'll need to be able to rent a place and buy the obvious things such as food.

I'v played at a decent level including, Aston Villa Academy, in the Australian State league, and Semi-Pro in England. I'v recently stopped playing due to breaking my hand and thumb, (I'm a goalkeeper) and I would prefer to concentrate on the coaching/managerial side of things.

I will need to apply for a VISA.

I will be ready to come to Thailand around August 2012.

Thanks Josh

Good luck to you but i think you should have minimum level 3 to start pursuing employment in coaching even then it will be difficult for work as most go on experience from coaching in leagues overseas.

I think another avenue if you are serious is to go for the UEFA couching courses also as you are at a young age and have plenty of time to do this.Good luck!

Yeh, to get UEFA B you have to be in a pro club to do it now and they have to recommend you.. stupid rules!

Since when did they bring that in?

You could look at doing the asian coach licence - think it is done in Singapore if I remember correctly.

However, I'd agree with Mr Red, that you are unlikely to get paid employment to manage any clubs over here - you could try Can U Kick it and the Arsenal Soccer School in Bangkok as they do hire coaches.

Since this year, such a pathetic rule.. they say there isn't enough English coaches then they bring that in, ridiculous!

I'll have a look into that, I guess the language will be a problem when getting taught the Asian licence.
