Hi All

I will be staying a week in Karon and then moving onto patong looking for a nice hotel budget between 1500B to 2500B in Jan 2012. Normally stay at the karon princess but full.

Any recommendations most appreciated!

Unfortunately for you all the 'better' places will most certainly be full for the month of January. Best of luck. Suggest you scan through all the web booking sites, see what's available and post here what's available & get opinions on particular hotels.

I always stay at the Expat Hotel in Patong. Great place, tucked away in the back but within walking distance of the beach. http://www.expathotel.com/ Good rooms, great pool, used to be under a thousand a night, but . . . too bad. Anyhow still one of the very best deals, high-season rooms for about ฿1200/night.

Last minute change of plans as normally stay in Hua Hin. Im entertaining my brother who is a keen diver.

Used to stay at the Karon princess lovely and cheap hotel but obviously its all booked up now.

A quick search on Samui hotels ........prices are crazy!!
