george
Samsung Galaxy Note heads for UK The Samsung Galaxy Note will be available to buy in the UK from 17 November, the company has said. With a 5.3-inch screen, the device is somewhat of a hybrid, sitting between a tablet and smartphone. During its announcement at IFA in September, Samsung described the handset as "a new category of device" but Dell has also previously ventured into the 5-inch handset market with the Streak. "It is our fastest handset to date and brings together all the benefits of our award-winning smartphone technology and services," the company said. "The Galaxy Note combines the benefits of a notebook with the portability of a smartphone." It also comes with a stylus, that the company calls the S Pen, which can be used for sketching as well as writng. S Pen functionality has also been integrated into a number of the Note's native applications. The Note will be available in the UK shops from 17 November, pricing details were not available at the time of writing. -- ZDnet 2011-10-
