NEW SITE FOR HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AGREED UPON: SUVARNABHUMI CITY

An agreement has been made to build the new House of Representatives in Suvarnabhumi City.

The committee responsible for the construction of the new House of Representatives has determined from its study of 3 sites that the new House will be built in Suvarnabhumi City, in Bang-bo (บางบ่อ) district of Samutprakarn province. House Speaker BHOKIN BHALAKULA (โภคิน พลกุล), as the chief of the committee in charge of the matter, said the 700-rai site in Suvarnabhumi City area donated by Kridsada Nakhorn (กฤษดานคร) Company was the most appropriate site, in aspects of its grandeur, safety, and close proximity to Suvarnabhumi Airport. Subcommittees for city and road planning have already been told to plan for the layout.

The two other sites which were also in consideration included the sites on Changwatthana (แจ้งวัฒนะ) Road and the latter in Rangsit. However, officials deemed that Changwatthana was too close to a royal retreat while Rangsit had pollution concerns.
